The 14th Annual <em>Other Israel Film Festival: </em><em>December 2020</em>Submissions for the 14th Annual <em>Other Israel Film Festival</em> are now open. If you would like to submit your film for the 2020 festival, please read our eligibility and submission requirements below.<span style=”text-decoration: underline;” data-mce-style=”text-decoration: underline;”>FESTIVAL OVERVIEW</span>The <em>Other Israel Film Festival</em> uses film to foster social awareness and cultural understanding. The Festival presents dramatic and documentary films as well as panels and events about the history, culture, and identity of under-represented populations in Israel—with a focus on Arab/Palestinian citizens of Israel—who make up 20% of Israel’s population.<span style=”text-decoration: underline;” data-mce-style=”text-decoration: underline;”>SUBMISSION GUIDELINES</span><em>Subject Matter:</em>The <em>Other Israel Film Festival</em> showcases the diverse and creative work of filmmakers of any nationality exploring themes around the Palestinian community and other under-represented groups in Israel. We also seek films that more broadly provide new political and social perspective on Israeli life.<em>Categories:</em>The <em>Other Israel Film Festival s</em>election committee accepts all kinds of features, narratives, documentaries, shorts, and experimental films.<em>Exhibition Formats:</em>The filmmaker is responsible for supplying the festival with an exhibition copy of the film in one of the following formats:</p><li>DCP</li><li>ProRes</li><li>BluRay disc</li>
<p>The Festival prefers to exhibit DCP and to receive delivery via hard drive. All final exhibition copies must be received no later than the delivery deadline.<em>Production & Subtitling:</em></p><li>All films submitted to the 14th annual festival must be from the last two years.</li><li>The Festival will accept submissions still in post-production, though a final, fully-mixed, subtitled, and color-corrected exhibition copy must be available by the delivery deadline in advance of the festival.</li>
<p><em>Premiere/Release Status:</em></p><li>Films may not have had a wide commercial theatrical, television, or online release in the U.S. Films available via commercial streaming platforms whether by subscription or pay-per-view (e.g., Netflix, Amazon, iTunes, Vudu, etc.) are ineligible.</li><li>Though the Festival does not enforce any specific premiere status, films not yet exhibited in the New York City media market will receive preference over those that have already screened within the greater metropolitan area.

Submissions must be made available to the Festival via online screener. No physical media will be accepted.
