OUR MISSION

After 20 years of impact that has changed the landscape of the American Jewish community, the Other Israel Film Festival is excited to take its next steps as it transitions to meet the new realities of this time. The Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan remains committed to delving into topical themes in Israeli society, leading us to human stories that go beyond the headlines.

We are proud to take this mission and transition Other Israel to a new festival: New Perspectives Film Festival. This festival takes a deeper look at the complexities of Israeli society, including a spotlight on underserved populations. Through films, panels, and events, New Perspectives highlights crucial topics that benefit from thoughtful consideration and provides a platform for important conversations. At a time of escalating conflicts in Israel, both internally and externally, and a growing divide in the Jewish community both in the US and in Israel, we are proud to take a nuanced look into some of the tough topics of the region, creating a welcoming space for complicated conversations and explorations.
